Dude

Thanks for the heads up, been doin this on my own for a while, so I've found the pickup I like to use, and don't worry no versatility needed from me hahahahah I pretty much play one style in my band and don't deviate much.

if I find a used Cpig then I'll give it a whirl!

Dude

Honestly one of the best guitar sounds you've gotten! I just might have to get a cpig for the bridge of one my my Washburns now!

Thansk dude!

Thanks & sorry if I wasn't clear on my post. I would recommend a ceramic warpig with the VH4 for really heavy tone, but forget about versatility with this pickup. Also if you have a different amp, please don't go out & buy a warpig based on my clip. There is a reason I do so many clips with different guitar/pickup/amps, because the best guitar/pickup combination for one amp can be the worst for another, I don't even wanna get into string gauges & tunnings, which can sometimes change a shit sound into a jaw dropping sound. If I had to recommend one pickup that works fairly well with every amp, I'd go with a JB.

I can't wait to hear my Painkillers through the V and the TJ... Should be awesome

Not to mention, burnt chrome covers on the DBSB NT-II, just a LITTLE curb appeal, ahem...

Looking forward to see your findings about that setup. Some pics would be nice too. And please make a VH4/Uber clip or video, I've missed having that setup!

I'm getting to it... Just been super busy with work and family matters. I'm a perfectionist, so getting the mics "just" right and then being happy with the samples I play... Well, you get it. But this is something I'll be sorting out in the next couple weeks as Tim from BKP is interested as well.

Quite honestly the Class A 30W with the soon-to-be new Gold Alnico with the RiffRaffs is what I'm totally jazzed about hearing. Something tells me I know what to expect with the PK's through the V or UberTJ.

Classics never die

C warpig with VH4 is scary... but with Herbie its DEVASTATING

Well, don't know. For me the VH4 has the cut in upper mids that just happens to take right where the ceramic warpig leaves. I'm telling you, in the room with channel 4 it's like ...... I don't even have words to describe it.  I'm desperately trying to find something else I can sell so I can keep this Horizon too.

I think we really don't like the same tones... BUT Herbie is HUUUUGE sounding. I crank them mids and it sounds fine.

But if a VH4 could be as thick as Herbie chan 3....

It really depends on what is being played. For me the VH4 takes the parts where there is more chaga-chaga with fuller chords. When it comes to 1-2 string runs the Herbert will definitely destroy it. While I'm sure you & I have very different taste, I also have a very wide pallet of tones & types of music that I play. I currently play & write from rock to death metal & everything in between, plus there is an upcoming ambient project, lots of cool clean tones, this is gonna be my thing. :) The only way I can show you what I mean is if I have you standing in the same room with my rig. I kinda have a feeling that would change your mind. I have said many times, my recordings do no justice to my rig's sound.

I do believe you.... recording is one of hardest thing to do IMO
