This is my stereo nowadays. JBL MR835's and MR918's. Powered by a Crown CE4000 and CE2000. A 1000 watts per side. I use Monster Bluetooth receiver plugged into the 2 track return on the mixer.

Focal 816W's here. They took the 816V and put in the Polyglass W-cone drivers from the extreme pricey series (Electra or something...$25k per speaker).
Before these, I had the Focal 716V's, which only has one fronted bass port (816V and 816W have 2 ports; front-firing and down-firing to the aluminium foot) and those sounded a tad too critical/borderline harsh, whenever a recording was sub-par.
These 816W's, while objectively a better speaker, also seem a bit more forgiving.
I'm driving them with a Rega Brio-R amp (2x50W@8Ohm / 2x 74W @ 4 Ohm). Lovely speakers for rock and metal. Other contenders were Dali Ikon series and Monitor Audio BX-x.
