yea I think that's fine. Again very subtle, but noticable at higher volumes. I think I need to really dime the master and then see if the wattage knob does anything

When I have my channel 1 dimed, it goes from over-driven at 30 watts, to pure fuzz at 1 watt.

What guitar and pickups are you using?

I get this response from both my Gibson SG and my Telecaster.
Obviously the SG is more fuzzy... :D It has Burstbucker pro's in it.
Bottom line is my wattage trim pots have a significant impact on my headroom from any guitar.
I did replace my power tubes with New production Mullards and EH's, but I still had the same results with the stock tubes.
Yeah, mine rattles a little too.... I've had many amps with some sort of rattle or odd hum. It doesn't bother me.
I actually like some pickup buzz and hum...... strange huh.....

Totally love the Rebel 30 again! It's been shelved while playing recent purchases (Traynor Dark Horse, Marshall Class 5, Fender Blues Jr, and a Marshall DSL50 head...i have issues, I know!) I just paired the head up with the Traynor Dark Horse Cab with Celestion Greenback and wow! This thing sounds better with the Greenbacks! I've been using the cabinet with the back panel off and have been totally impressed, to the point where I am not sure if I should order the matching Egnater cabinet now.

Anyone have a suggestion as to what the Celestion in the Eggie cabinet is voiced closest to? I know I plugged in a Rebel 20 head into a cab and the cab really sounded sweet, but that was in Las Vegas a few months back, we don't have an Egnater dealer on this island in the middle of the Atlantic!

The Egnater speakers are voiced like Celestion 80's....nothing like a greenback....I use mine with Scumback M55's...a high end greenback...It sounds great with those speakers

Mine is in for repair, rattle issues. And I thought I would never miss an amp. But at 3:30 am this morning inspiration struck and I thought I would lay down a track quick and quiet before I left for work....OOOPPPS....I hope it hurrys home I miss it.

I just love that spanky sparkle of the clean channel!

I've had mine for about a month now and played a couple a 3 set gigs, some open jams and rehearsals, it has rocked the house every time. I also use a Splawn Nitro 1/2 stack and it is just too much amp for most of the clubs we play, I'm keeping it for the larger places though.

The Rebel 30 Combo mikes up very well and it cuts through the mix like nobody's business. I also like how smooth the ch switching is between the 2 channels they share a lot of the same characteristics and it doesn't sound like you plugged into a different amp when switching over. Very nice...Great amp!

A band I regularly gig with has 6 members when I'm there, so in the smaller clubs stage space is at a premium. For playing with them I built a small-club system with a Peavey Classic 30 and matching cab. Both the cab and the combo have Celestion Vintage 30s and Weber Beam Blockers in them. I play through a '97 American Standard Strat with the bridge pickup changed to a "JB Stack" humbucking stacked pickup (looks like the original single coil). I use the neck pickup for clean and overdrive lead tones and the bridge humbucker for the more edgy rhythm and lead tones.

I got great and reliable service from this amp system for the last 2 years and had a good solid distortion tone and a pretty damn decent clean tone. I need both tone classes to support the wide variety of musical styles we do plus I use a Boss SD-1 overdrive pedal for the smoother bluesy lead tones.

I took my recently repaired and rebuilt Rebel 30 1x12 "stack" (I bought a return that was damaged in shipment) out for its first gig this last Friday night and it KILLED! I was really digging all the tones I was getting and did not spend half the night trying to dial it in like some amps require. The Peavey stack was easy to dial-in as well but couldn't do the smooth overdrive tones without the SD-1 pedal. The Rebel 30, on the other hand, produced an inspirational lead tone all by itself and I never touched the overdrive pedal! The organic nature of the amp really help me play my best and drew raves from people who were used to me playing my slightly-modified Peavey Classic 30 set-up. All I needed was the guitar volume control and the Rebel channel switch!

The tone inspired me to play at a new level and it did attract more attention than normal. I know it allowed me to play at the top of my game ...it felt good, inspired confidence and sounded awesome! I had the clean channel at full power and the power control turned about halfway down on the gain channel. This is my only Rebel but I have also owned 3 different Renegade combos (1x12, 2x12 and 410) and while the Renegade is better in some areas I am finding myself trying to get the balanced clean and lead tones similar to those that just jumped out of the Rebel without any effort! I love 'em all but the Rebel 30 really knocked my socks off (factory stock tubes and speakers) on the first try!

Thanks Bruce!

I love my Rebel 30. Best sounding amp I've ever owned. I had planned on buying a Renegade because I really like all the features of it, but when I gig we keep the stage volume low and the Renegade was just way more power than I need. With the Rebel, I can get the amp breathing a bit without being overly loud. I initially bought the 112 cube when it came out and then later bought the head version also. I've got a Scumback H55 in the 112 which yielded a marginal improvement in tone, but honestly, the stock speaker sounds very good. I use the head for gigging along with an Avatar 212 box that's loaded with a pair of Scumback 25 watt M75's. This rig has a lot more thump and is much more open sounding than the combo. I get compliments on my tone every time I play out. Here are my Eggy's with a few of my favorite input devices. The upper cube on the right is the R30 combo along with a 112 box on the bottom.

Nice Picture! The Les Paul is really nice too :-)

Reconfiguring my rig right now to go all out Rebel 30. I love this amp. I have been gigging my MOD 50 because well ... I have one and it's great so I felt silly leaving it at home. That's it though, I made the commitment this week. I am getting such seriously good tone it's going on stage this time. I am running my Les Paul and Strat and Tele through my pedal board. Board has Korg Pitch Black, Fulltone Standard Wah, Xotic BB Preamp, Fulltone OCD V4, Wampler Chorus (for fast rotating speaker sims) MXR Bass Octave, Xotic EP3 Booster. I have delay in the loop. For cabs I am running my amp into a Egnater custom shop American made over sized 1X12 with a Warehouse Guitar Speaker ET65 on the bottom and a Motion Sound SRV112, single 12 inch rotating speaker cabinet with Eminence GB12 in it on top of the 1X12 cab. I tell you guys, I'm thinking about doing some You Tube videos it sounds so good!

I'll throw up some pics later.
