not unless you modify the amp and use it with a MIDI setup that can switch the modes, then you'll still have volume issues.

my dare I say elegant solution was the g major 2. I modded the amp, added the GM2. the Gm2 can switch the modes and the channel and allow you to adjust the volume differences.

So you are using the stereo relays of g major 2 to switch between the modes of channel 1 (after it's been modded) and between the 2 channels.
And for the 2 master volumes, are you using another (foot)switch for that?

Yes for all except the master volume. I use the processor for volume changes by setting all the patches at -3db leaving that room for a "boost" if necessary.

I also have a G-Major 2 (have not modded the amp yet) and now that i think of it there is something i'm missing here.
You are obviously running a stereo cable from the switch out of GM2 to the stereo jack that the 3mode switch of channel 1 is connected to after the mod,and you can also switch the channels of the amp with just that?

*&^^%#@

yeah you are right, I have my access grx4 switching the channels, I actually forgot I did this and had to go look... sorry to all!

Ill edit that other post as to not mislead others...

now i feel bad so here is an alternative:

before I bought the g major 2 I had done the mod and sourced this switcher which is perfect for the einstein mode mod at $153:

+1 for the mod.
I hope Peter is closing his eyes now, but when I did the mod it was the first time in my life I did some solder work.
Thats how easy it is.

LOL!!! I hope many people close their eyes. You guys are gonna get someone killed one of these days.

Not even to mention that you advice the guy to do a mod that he does not even need.

aha im not saying anything bad about diezel or peters work, hence why im here:) i love the sound, the build quality, the technical support thats why i came to diezel over other manufacturers im 20 years old and my budget is a tight £1500 so i really cannot mess around with soldering : / im sorry

how do you figure he doesn't need it? he asked to switch from clean to mega with a foot pedal.

but can i just select clean and then press a foot pedal (like an a/b as i know einstein doesnt have midi) and its right there on mega?

killed by what? the filter caps? he shouldn't really be touching those at all but yeah opening an amp can be dangerous if you don't follow a few simple rules.

He just linked to a video where the sound he was looking for was played on ch2 & he said he needs another clean channel with that. I don't see why he would need a mod for that.

As for being killed, I've seen people doing things on cold cut slicing machine that I never imagined one would. I've learned that just because it's intuitive for me is no reason to assume it is the same for other people.

so i shud be alright with no mods? clean and high gain thats all i need for live

Yes, no problem.

at least someone can give me a straight answer! instead of people talking about g major something or other! im guessing thats an effects unit *tuts* so many fx unites deteriate the sound i think but with this what is the best reverb pedal to use? for a bit of delay or reverb i only use one pedal at the moment and thats an original ibanez ts808 i dont do pedals that deteriates the signal aha most people cannot hear the difference but i can! specially when some people have like 10 pedals all that static noise! which brings me too, how quite is the einstein when everythings cranked up gain full e.c.t is there a lot of buzzing as there is no noise gate ?? i only use 1 pedal, and my pickups are non active caparison guitars.

I like the Eventide Timefactor, which has also a footswitch for turning it on & off to bypass you will find useful, since the amp's loop itself is not switchable. I believe Timefactor was used by our friend in the video you linked too. There's no reverb in it though. I've never used any live reverbs, so no help there.

With humbuckers you shouldn't need a gate. Diezels are as quiet as it gets, if you need a gate with a Diezel, you'll need a gate with anything.

I gave you a straight answer!

refer to your own question which was:

Ill be using clean and mega i guess for rhythm and that creamy lead diezel sound! but can i just select clean and then press a foot pedal (like an a/b as i know einstein doesnt have midi) and its right there on mega? Appretiate if anyone could explaign setup for me?:)

So the answer is still NO you CANNOT switch from the clean setting to the mega setting with a footswitch. You can however as Nbarts pointed out switch from clean to lead.

So according to your question you got a straight and correct answer. Insinuating otherwise is insulting.

I also then described how I got around that as a suggestion for your benefit.

I now see that you were mistaking the lead for the mega channel, your fault not mine.
