How dumb would this look? (Renegade 50 content)

Wow, Tommy! Is your wife OK as well? My parents both ride as well. They live in Puerto Rico, where people drive like there's no tomorrow. I'm always a bit worried about them and I pray to God to keep them safe.

Tommy man, you need to stay off the roads! Jesus Christ! Best of luck for a speedy recovery (again)! ;)

I'm running out of modes of transportation. My Dad flies but I'm almost leary of getting in a plane with him. I trust him just not my luck.

Yea Kite, she's good man, thanks for asking. She came off straight on her knees, left hand went down and then face planted. Her face shield was wasted. Good thing she had one! Her knees hurt and this is where it get's weird man. You hear people talk about "pain & suffering" and you think ... lawyers, bullsh*t, scam, milking it. I am not sueing this poor young lady. It really tramatized her, what she had done. On the other hand I'm no spring chicken as previously mentioned. Dudes, I'm almost 50 years old. If you don't think these shoulders and my wifes knees are gonna hurt for the rest of my lives ... well, crappy situation.

Well, as I said, I mostly just try to be dang glad I'm here and all is good. Love my life.

Now the part that I know some will not understand. I can't wait to get my bike back. I miss is it and to me it is on equal footing with creating music and playing live. There is just nothing else that takes it's place and I can't live without it just like I can't live without my MOD 50

I know exactly how you feel. I've been lucky not to taste the pavement in a good while, but even after the last one, I could'nt wait to get back on.
I'm glad to hear you and your wife are ok. I hope you can get back out on the road soon!

So JimmyOhio,

What did you settle on, two 1X12s or the 2X12?
I actually decided to wait until the Renegade hits GC. I am going to do do an in store test with the Eggie 2x12 vs. two 1x12's. Whichever sounds fuller and meaner is the route I will go. Right now I am leaning toward the two 1x12's so I can leave one cab at our practice space and one cab at home so I only need to transport the head. For gigs I would run both 1x12's. Of course this plan could go down the toilet if the Renegade 50 sounds awesome through the 2x12 cab. All I know for sure is that the waiting is killing me!

You're probably right. I don't know why I am being such a big pussy about having to move the 2x12 around. Ever since I turned 40 I find myself making decisions like a senior citizen. It's not like I'm a little guy. I was an offensive lineman in high school football. I'm 6 feet tall and around 275 lbs. I need to man up and accept the fact that the 2x12 will totally destroy two 1x12's in the sound category and deal with the inconvenience of the larger sized cab.

That being said I prefer my $50 in small bills.

You're only 40 man :)

The 1x12 do sound good, but there is some special mojo w/ the Eggie TM212. I love it!!! It's got some major tone man.

Why don't you do this...Get a 1x12 and a 2x12 :) Leave the 1x12 at your practice space, and use the 2x12 at home to jam on, and for gigs!

Yeah, I actually thought about doing that. I figure two of the 1x12 will cost $500. If I buy a 2x12 ($450) and a 1x12 ($250) that's only $200 more. That might be a good way to go. I know once I play the 2x12 it will sound so good I can't pass it up!!

That's what I'd do if I were you :). Have the best of both words. Portability in a 1x12 with killer tone, and massive tone w/ 2x12 :)

That's what I do. I have a 1x12 for portability and the 2x12 for the rest... -D

The crazy thing is that the 2x12 is only slightly bigger than the 1x12 since it is so oversized. So, Id say they are equally portable with the 2x12 being a little heavier of course.

Matt we are talking about the Rebel 1x12, not the Egnater Oversized 1x12 for portability :)

Doh! :aww:

Spent some quality time at GC today. I played the Eggie TM 2x12 for about 30 minutes. Wow, nice cab!! Put down 25% and put the cab in layaway. This will be a perfect match for the Renegade when it arrives. So the decision has been made.....2x12 it is!!!
