Whenever I'm inside the chassis with a dmm checking things , looking for something wrong , I check and chart the values . Difference between the plate and screen , a changing value is a good indicator to note . Thanks for highlighting this tip .
 
If I measure something I want to measure it accurately.
Thought that might have been the angle you were coming from, and yeah I agree.
