Man the problem is shipping those things, arent they like 100 pounds?
I think it'a around 80 lbs...I would sell local only.
Delivery guys are just gonna drop that heavy thing over and over.

The one I scored I had to put in the back seat of my Mustang...I dropped my nuts over and over doing that

Well it's about time they dropped.

Hot glue works great for fixing small rips pronto.

PS: If a guy wants mint, I can fully appreciate the collector aspect of these amps.

Good one Dick
I don't know if you remember....I bought a 5150 combo in mint condition for $450 about 3 months ago just to flip it for some extra dough...I still have it.
I'm not good at this selling stuff.

If you think that happens only to heavy packages then you have no clue............. :D
That's a 5150, what about my Herbert  left upside down in front of my door(signature required!) resting there for 6 hrs. My Uberschall arrived the same way on the side, half of the package wet!!!!! But these things are built like tank, both work like champs.

FYI heavy packages & 4x12 cabs use DHL!!! You'll be surprised how cheap it is compared to UPS & FedEx.

I remember years ago when I bought a 5150 combo, the UPS guy rolled it end over end through my front yard.
I remember when you posted that...I would've went right to head office with the guy's info and lost it.
Like they'd care...I'd be a whining insignificant flee buzzing around their heads.

I dont know why but that made me laugh picturing him doing that :D Sorry Mark! I wouldve killed him though, stupid bastard!!!

i can understand the guy not wanting it if he thought it was mint

but seriously for resale value...that shouldn't knock of much at all

Oh I can definitely laugh about it now.

It sucked when I saw it happening though. I ran outside and yelled at him to stop rolling it end over end. I can't believe nothing got damaged. Moron.

I remember buying the first one my local Peavey dealer got in, probably 13 - 14 years ago. They had just taken it out of the box and put it on display when I walked in and bought it. They re-boxed it and put it in my trunk for me. My plan was to sneak it in the house.........I had no idea it weighed a freakin' ton, and the box wedged perfectly in the trunk, it was really stuck! So my wife came out as I'm struggling with it, needless to say I had some 'splainin' to do!

one of the part time guys i work with also works for ups, and from time to time handles insurance claims...we were actually talking about guitar cabs getting damaged (there was a guy on HC recently who had a mesa cab get DEMOLISHED...you could probably throw one off your roof and not fuck it up that bad!)

he said when that happens it's usually because it got stuck in their conveyor system, and said honestly the extra packing wouldn't do much good as it just makes the box bigger which is adding to the initial problem...all the extra packing does is make the insurance claim valid
