True isolated power supplies will give you the best performance in terms of getting no hum or other noises.

Many much lower cost PS's claim to be "isolated" but they are not. You know which one's these are as they generally cost lower than $100 for a multi voltage and multi out PS.

Whether or not your particular set up will hum or not depends on your particular gear including the amp, pedals, cables, guitar, quality of house power, and the multi out power supply.

I built my pedal board with 5 pedals.
2 of the pedals are in the amps effect loop, and the other 3 pedals are run into the front end of the amp.

I decided to save some money and try a low cost PS (Joyo JP-02).
It's about $53 shipped from Amazon. It has 10 outs, 8 are 9V, 1 is 12V, and 1 is 18V.
For only $53 you get a lot of outs to power a good number of pedals along with a couple at higher voltage.
But, this is NOT a true isolated PS. Joyo will claim it to be in their description, but it is NOT an isolated PS.

The Joyo worked great with my pedals and Egnater amp.
NO hum, no noise at all.

I tried the exact same set up that I use with the Egnater into a new PRS SE30 head and there was noise/hum.
It was coming from using the effects loop where I had a couple of pedals using the loop, and other pedals plugged straight into the amp.
If I used just the pedals in the loop or just the pedals straight in, then no noise or hum.
Using the loop and pedals into the amp in there was noise with the PRS amp.
So, obviously there is something different with the wiring in the PRS compared to the Egnater.

To stop the noise with the PRS amp I paid more and got a recommended and nicely rated
Voodoo Lab ISO-5 power supply.
Cost is about $109 shipped, before any tax.

NO noise or hum with either amp.
Great PS. The only negative is that it has only 5 outs. 3 are 9V, 1 is 9V OR 12V, and 1 is 18V.
For my set up the ISO-5 is fine as I'm only using 5 pedals.
If you have more than 5 pedals or plan to add more, then you'll need to pay more money for more outs.
Voodoo has a couple of 8 -out PS's costing $169 and $189 depending on the features one wants.
Their bad boy 12 out "Mondo" PS is $299.

The Joyo JP-02 has 10 outs for about $53, so it's a great deal if you have more than 5 pedals.
The question is, will a non isolated PS work fine with your set up?
For me it worked great with the Egnater, but not the PRS.
I'm using the ISO-5 and kept the Joyo as a back up.

You could get a Joyo and try it out. If it works, great, you save some money.
If it doesn't, then return it and spend more to get a true isolated PS.

My Dunlop brick worked great on everything, but an EP Booster
Out of curiosity what was the issue you had with the EP Booster? I run my EP off a DC Brick and haven't experienced any issues. Thanx.

I had my EP Booster connected to the 18V jack on my brick and it made a whistling sound when engaged, almost like a tea kettle. I contacted exotic and the recommended adding an inline resistor or use a individual power supply. I used the 18V, because I was out of 9V spaces. I just went with the individual power supply for the EP booster.
Ah.....okay. I can assure you, as you already know, it works fine on 9V.
