I've got the same guitar stand Peter, except that the "U's" you slide the neck into are double U's on mine.
Special "plastic" that doesn't interfere with guitar coatings. German IIRC. Bought 2 of them many years ago. Recommended.

Wow. That looks great. I have a room for myself in my house, but having a completely separate building is just amazing. (Mine is also all torn out awaiting new carpet....maybe I'll shoot some pics when it's all setup, but nothing this epic.)
