have you tried with another guitar? could be that diing just the noise coming from the tremolo springs ? many guitarists tends to put some kind of sponge material there in order to avoid ringing and noise.

My Paula and Tele do the same "diiiiiiiiing".

Have you tried muting the strings behind the nut with a hairband or similar?

The "diiiing" is no problem anymore...it doesn´t matter why.

I´ve got amazing news. It nearly shocked me!
We had yesterday our band practice. After that my buddy (the other guitarplayer with the mesas) and me tried the Herbert with his cabs. His cabs are marshall made in the 70ies. Probably 78?! My opinion was always that his cabs rules, but not that way! It was incredible fantastic. We first tried the A(the better one of these amazing cabs). Herbert sounded in a way i never heard before! WOW! Like the description of these guys who tried out the Dillingen cabs. It sounded open, full, less compressed, tight...Wow! My buddy was shocked too. He always said, that the Diezel never sonded so good he would buy one. But yesterday.... :D . Ok, his sound is very, very good! So there is no need for him to change his setup. But his cabs do 70% of the job! No joke! The B was superb too, not not like his angled.

So Marshall built amazing cabs, bot not nowadays.
Who cares? If the Dillingen cabs perform like this Marshall cabs...wow!(or even better?) I have to sell some stuff to get a Diezel. I think i would like a FL.

I´m speechless!

A question for those of you, who think that the amp sounds bright at high volumes: do you have V30s in your cabinet? It may be the pushed speaker & not the amp that gives you that brightness that you are referring to.

Dude. I do use a Diezel RL cab. Should i REALLY try different speakers? Does it make THAT much of a difference. I really push my amp hard. Channel Volumes at nearly 3 oclock and Master Volume at 11 oclock.

Rob,
There is a big difference running the amp with v30s or say EVM12Ls. EVMs are not dark at all, however they are FULL & bigger than v30s & don't crap out when you drive them hard.

Maybe some GK100 users can chime in & input their experience. I believe it could be something you would like.
