I saw the Omega Wave tour as well but I honestly thought Steve Smyth's EVH tone was superior to Craig's tone. I was mainly in the front row and hearing all stage volume. At least I caught a Smyth guitar pick!

I talked to Craig later on that year when they came back around. He had moved on from it due to reliability issues. I can't recall what he was playing that night though. Very well could have been an EVH.

Did you test it out in-store and bust out some Korn- in the wrong tuning- and acoustic GnR riffs as required by the Line 6 gods?

Man oh man I miss playing half-ass versions of super-popular songs through $200 amps with $100 guitars. Where has the time gone?
