I lasted an epic 6 months on TGP this time

Don’t be too hard on yourself man. The fact that you have made notes on the things you feel need improvement, and have a plan to change them is almost a sure bet that you will. We have all been through it, or will go through it at some point. Caring about our short comings, and actively seeking to improve ourselves is the foundation of good character. It really is as simple as choosing a path, and not straying from it. The more you do it the easier it gets. Good luck on your journey man.
 
My lifetime ban was after starting a thread called "You Should Get All The Covid Shots The CDC Suggests".

The only thread I participated in over there was the "Does Dust on Speaker cones affect tone" thread that our very own @MadAsAHatter created :lol:

LOL!. I remember that thread.
It got a little off topic but at least we were able to warn everyone of the dangers of transient tones in speaker cables.
 
There's people here on RT that also go on TGP that I had to block there cause they really push my buttons. I find it ridiculous that some people are such jerks but they are. I've learned in life to just pull aside and let tailgaters go around you. Whatever you say or do they will still tail gate you. Pulling over lets me say good bye to that nonsense.

Why I still like it there on TGP ?
Faster moving threads with conversation. Not everyone is a Dick there but some are and you just got to be careful.

That is brilliant! I’m not a member there, but have visited. I’ll bet every dentist with a “wood library “ PRS weighed in with their opinion.

we have some of the TGP come here to RT and attempt to "moderate" and tone police us, especially in OT. If they enjoy free speech in OT, that's great; if not, then perhaps TGP Lounge is a better place for them
 
TDPRI has very weird mods. I was permabanned after 2 weeks for replying to a thread asking 'what guitar amp has the most tubes?' I made a reply about the Metasonix Fucking Fucker which has 23 tubes in it, I even censored the name as F***ing F***er. When I sent an email to the mod as to why I was permabanned for that he just wrote something like "If you make an alt count I will ban you again." I'm right about that being the amp with the most tubes too.

I like the slower pace here. And it's not full of complete morons. TGP, TDPRI, Strat talk, man those are infested with soy. Mad butthurt lately with a Trump victory on all those other lame sites.
