What's better than a Yamaha SG? Seeing Devin post in my thread, that's what. And seeing you confirm the decent guitar selections. Good afternoon brougham!!!:love:
 
So looking at these....there is the SG 500, the 600, the 700, the 800, the 1000, the 1500, the 2000, and the 3000 plus the reissued 1820. Seems like the model 1000 and up is an ebony board and the lower numbers are rosewood. and then the 1000 and lower are all set neck while the 2000 is through neck. I think they are all 3 piece necks? Is the 1820 through neck? Any other specs on these anyone can tell me? I think the reissues have 50's-ish necks. How about the originals? Are the pickups all the same across the whole series?
 
Dave Meniketti from Y&T was a SGB 3000 user. There’s a vid of them in San Francisco back in the day at some club playing Shake It Loose. Dave’s playing a black one.
