damn im a huge fan of the Jem guitars....i had some seriouse GAS for one of them last year.

I love that color. The only thing I wish it had is a maple fretboard. I think that color of vine inlay would look great on maple...

I tried one the other day....I like it. It's nicely built. Not as well built as the Jem stuff but still, very solid!

I'll compare it to my RG770DX. If it plays as well, feels as solid and has the same build quality, it's a winner. We'll see

Go to the Ibanezrules website and get Rich's opinion, he is a straight shooter and deals with a ton of high end Ibbys.

I like it a lot.

Yeah that Sea foam Green is the bomb!
Maple fretboard would of made it perfect. ;)

I've loved this guitar since I first saw a pic of it...but i agree..maple fretboard would have been wonderful

Love the color....the fact that it says "premium" is a real bummer though!

Yes and no...

A "real" JEM would be much more expensive and I just can't justify that kind of cash to play the bar scene knowing that dings, dents and scratches are almost inevitable. I prefer high-end gear but I'm trying like hell to convince my OCD that a scratch is OK. It's easier to do it at that price point

I think I'll take Digi's advice and check with Rich. Gear Fest is on the 22nd and 23rd but Sweetwater says they won't have them in stock until the first week of July. If it looks like a good axe, I can get my best price during the sale and then have it shipped when it comes in. I'm just down the road. 1-Day free delivery =

The 25th anny RG550s were not Prestige models either and they were very well received, my RFR RG550x is an awesome guitar for what I paid back when they first came out.

I dig it. I played the Premium series RGs (the ones with the figured maple veneers) and was very impressed. They were set up and ready to go right out of the box...played and sounded as good as any of their Prestige brethren.

price seems too low is that mij?
It's in the Ibanez Premium category...not J Craft

Gee, it seems like one would be better off with a Rasmus Guthrie Govan model or a regular Rasmus "Modern" model for that money. I suppose a lot of people like the cosmetics I guess and perhaps the wider nut width of the Jem.

Love the color. Love the hidden fret ends. Love the vine. Can't see much wrong with it other than the country of origin...
