If You Could Resurrect an Old Amp Manufacturer??

Carol Ann, Roccaforte and Reinhardt are the three I have experience with that did great work. Alan and Doug both knew their shit. Doug is a Zephead and liked to piss people off AND he made the loudest amps I've ever heard so he has a special place in my heart haha. Alan just realized he was too smart to make that little money I assume. That's not a business I'd ever want to count on to raise a family. Dealing with geeks like us has to suck lol. Nothing feels like a Carol Ann under your fingers--a players' amp.

Suggesting Mojave brought me back to the Plexi palace forum days and the Metro forum. I would bring back Metro doing kits and do myself a nice Marshall library of rock. My 69 kit was incredible and easy to do because the instructions were amazing.

You can still buy all the parts from ValveStorm

Do they sell complete kits with quality iron or do you have to individually select all the parts and pieces you need? Would they also have incredibly detailed instructions with awesome pictures on how to wire it up? Metro made it so easy, it took away a lot of the fear of taking on an amp.

Edit….I just visited Valvestorm and they had copies of the metro instructions. That is awesome. I see a JTM45 maybe later this year!

The detailed build PDFs used to be available on the MetroAmp forum.

If I recall, they had a parts manifest in the file.

I wouldn't mind a 50 watt Carvin Legacy head. Carvin Audio still exists, but they have preamp and poweramp pedals now.
