Was at a friend's studio on the weekend, he's spent the last few weeks fiddling with it. He captured a bunch of amps I know well, so checked those out and played around with the presets. Hate to sound like an outdated 'tubes or bust' guy but it's pretty flat, lifeless and uninspiring when playing in person.
Kemper is ok for recording, gets you 80% of the way there. This feels like 60%, like a lot of other software sims really. Really hard to get excited about things like this that claim they are getting 'closer and closer' to something that was achievable, and far better, 50 years ago - i.e. run a nice tube amp through a good cab and stick a mic on it.
