Wish it had a few more effects. I really like some of the Amplitube tones.

Ive been using the plugin for awhile and it’s fantastic. Absolutely negates the need for my Kemper which I only kept around for recording use anyway. No more reamping. Just track a DI, loop a spot in a track and go through ToneX captures and tweak until it’s exactly what I want. I don’t need the pedal so I’m going to wait for more first-person reviews that aren’t from YouTubers, but I’ll grab it at some point as a fun headphone practice amp, backup DI rig, etc kinda thing.

I'd be interested in the pedal version, if it had Delay and Mod FX,
but it doesn't, so it's useless for live. I'd need another FX unit....

I don’t know why everybody expects this to be an everything in one kinda unit especially for 400 bucks. It’s clearly designed to be a piece of a pedalboard. You gotta spend more if you want something that does it all. This ain’t that product. People are impossible to please.

That's fair, especially in light of what its competition costs.

My statement was more of an "I wish" than an expectation. I have to say, I listened to some of the videos last night and this thing sounds pretty fan-fuckin-tastic

Yeah, it would definitely be killer to have some delays at least built in. My little rant isn't really in response to this thread, everyone here is chill, but there are some real crybabies over on TGP about it.

Take my money ik! I had 114 jam points to spend and I already have all 4 of the x-gear pedals still new in the box from Christmas. Just opened them up to register them.

I was going to make a self contained stereo board with the 4. Now I have 5 to work with.

I just never got around to it. I already have a big stereo board I'm using so I never built this one.

I think I'll start with the x-drive and tone-x on my desk with headphones and see how it goes.

I also have their buffer boost, di box, and axe io interface units. I like what ik does and generally their stuff has extra features you didn't even know you wanted or needed.

I may grab one at some point. Im just curious if it sounds different/ better/worse from the pedal when connected straight to an interface vs using just the software.

I ordered the ToneX pedal on Thursday. Should be here Wednesday.

I tried ToneX on a friend's computer a few weeks ago.
I have tried pretty much all the various modelers made by everyone. This is the first one I have bought.

I've had the software since the week it came out but only used it twice. I'm not a fan of the profile searching, but that'd be the same on any platform. You sort through endless profiles that sound like shit that by the time you find a good one, you don't even care about finding a great one because you're sick of the process. I don't have a need for the pedal now, it'd go unused until I start gigging again, but I'll definitely snag one.
