That sucks, GTs are expensive! Maybe you have a claim against the shipping co? :gethim: But yeah, the tubes should have been wrapped for protection, kind of odd that they weren't.

It seems that rough handling during shipping is the norm these days, almost to be expected. :(

The saga continues.....

that SUCKS.

get on the horn with them, and get it resolved. take pics. send them to whoever you need to send them to. blech.

i'm getting a little impatient on my end too..i shipped my power transformer back to them on january 18th, priority mail, and it took til the following wednesday to get there according to the tracking. i didnt hear anything, or get anything in the mail. last wednesday (feb 8th) i spoke to nate and he said he was shipping it out that day....still nothing yet!

To their credit, they shipped mine back at their expense due to a little extra time.
Imagine how thrilled I would have been had my tubes made it back here safely !!!
Its all about the details, a company that makes tube amps should know better !

Did the carrier damage the amp? If it was tossed around, I doubt any kind of packing would help. I'd let Ian or Nate know about. I'm sure they'll make it right. That's a real shame.

I e-mailed them and as usual, no reply.

You don't ship tubes where the glass bottles are touching each other, there was no damage to the box.
However you know they dropped it, come on its UPS what else would you expect ?

Again its the guys at Egnater's fault for not securing the power tubes individualy. :gethim:

So to my suprise a big Brown Truck shows up here today with a little brown box, in it was a quad of new Ruby 6L6GC STR 's

So in the long run the guys at Egnater did take very good care of me !!!

The Tourmaster is way too much amp for me as you all have said, sweet cleans all the way to Hang on baby !
As it has worked out, i found a fella dying for a tourmaster and he has a Rebel 30 and a guitar to trade so.....
It looks like a great deal for me and this fella, he gets what he wants and I get to try out a Rebel 30 head !

Thanks again to Nate and the gang at Egnater !!!

And all that good service paid off !
I'm back with a new egnater Rebel 20 and matching 1x12 and flat love the sounds this thing makes !

I did find the one 12" speaker a little confining and so I plugged into one of my 2x12 cabs with a pair of C-rex speakers, now were talking !!!
Lovely range of tones.

I usually run mine with two Egnater 112 cabs. I run them with my 74 Champ and a Weber Z-Matcher, same for my little 5 watt kit amp. Great sounding cabs.

I am so lov'n the sound of my 2x12 with the Cannabis Rex's in there that I sold off the 1x12 that came with my Rebel 20

I also have a 2x12 that has a Swamp Thang and a Tonker, I have yet to plug it into the egnater, its my main cab for my 68 Bandmaster Reverb and has the most spank and tightest bottom end I've ever heard !
I'll try it out soon !

I have tried all kinds of 5E3 clones and other fender tweed types and many blackface, silverface amps, this egnater to me is the very best of both, I can dial in piano sounding chords with bounce and shimmer or I can get some hair on the notes but yet still retain each notes definition and with the 4,8, or 16ohm taps I can use any cab I want !
What more can ya ask for ???

Here is a shot of my practice spot, the orange sparkle MIM strat and the Tiesco are my son's guitars
The rest are my toys
