Anyone have one? I think Ed D has one right? Anyone have any tips or tricks? I know I'll have to get one of their foot pedals to use with it for the expression pedal to work right but Ive been watching these for awhile and it seems like they have the kinks worked out for the most part.

You know I ended up not bothering with the expression pedals at all. But other then that I love it. Used it last gig with the Sig X and that is a killer combination.

Thats great to hear cause it will be being used with my SigX.

I've been thinking about getting one of these and ditching my pedals....let me know how you like it Todd. Either that or something like a GT-8.....

Unfortunately, I don't have the budget for the G-System right now.
I think I'm going to check into the Line 6 M13 once it hits the stores.
It seems like it will suit my needs pretty well.

i have one and i love it. i use it to control my mark iv, its ultra versatile, if i want i can use stompboxes with it as well. its a really great piece of gear

A good friend of mine picked up a G-System to use live with
his VHT Pittbull head & 4x12....he must have worked with that
unit for about 3 weeks and never could get it to sound all
that great... Finally gave up on it and she went bye-bye on Ebay....

I have one that i use with my Splawn Quickrod,it controls all my channel switching as well-sounds very good if you spend the time with it like any effects system,i use the 4 cable set up so the wahs ect are in front of the amp and chorus etc are in the loop.

I hear you George. I love my pedals and the way they sound. But if this sounds really good so that I can ditch most of them and just use my Pink Flesh fuzz and COB in the loops of the G System would save me some tap dancing. I dont know though cause I love the Damage Control Timeline, Glass Nexus, and EH Stereo Memory man with Hazari. We'll see and I'll post a review after I get it.

I bet Axcess or RJM can build a cable for the SIG X for it. Doesnt TC have another one of these pedal type deals?

Yeah I checked RJM and they have a cable for their Amp Gizmo that controls the SigX. I may call them Monday and give them specs for the relays on teh TC and see if their cable will work or if they will make me one.

Not to stray too far off the original subject, but did you consider the Nova System? I've been looking at that one and it looks pretty sweet. I wonder how different they are in terms of sound quality?

Going from personal experience, I'd make damn sure that the SigX is going to be around a good while before I started getting things like that made for it. I know, I know, you're no dumbass. Just sayin... I've done that several times only to regret it later when I realized the amp wasn't for me.

Thanks for your input amn and I know you were just throwing that out there to look out for me. I appreciate that and I agree and have been there myself. I actualy had bought an Amp Gizmo with a cable for the XTC back when I had it. Ended up selling them both. That said, I'm sticking with the SigX as my main go to amp. I'm done flipping my amps for personal use as in selling one just to fund another. I have an idea for something in the future if the economy turns around where I may buy used amps and turn them but those wont be for me trying to find the right amp for me.

Anyway, before I get the cable, the thing will be if I like the TC over my pedal set up. If I do I will get the cable because the Sig X isnt going anywhere. I had a Pittbull 100 back in 92 that was my first 'boutique amp" that my Dad had bought me in St Louis at St Charles Guitar Exchange that I gigged with for most of the 90's. After all the amps Ive had.... with the Sig X I feel like Im home again but have the vintage vibe in the Sig X the old Pittbull didnt have.

Yeah saw those and the price and features are nice but wanted the loops in the G System for couple of fuzz stomp boxes and a Moog Murf instead of using the model ones built in the Nova system. Plus I like having the 5 presets at my feet and having the ability to map out the board as I want.

I guess I should look deeper, does the G System have a rack unit that goes with it, or just the footpedal unit? What I would like is a floor unit that only has FX no distortions. A relay would be nice I guess to change my amp channel. It would be nice to have only the head/cab and floor unit to set up... :)

It doesnt have any distortions only effects with some loops for pedals. Thats why I want this one too so I can only use what dirt pedals I want in the 4 loops. Also on the G System you can leave the effects unit under the foot board as it is shipped or you can pull it out from under and mount it in a rack. Then you only have to have a Cat5 (computer networking cable that you can find anywhere and all sorts of lengths) running back to your rack from the foot board. Look up GSystem on YouTube and there are some demos of all the features.

oh man clean up those cables! take the unit out from underneath and place on your head, then you can use short 1' or less cables and then send one cat5 out to the controller. that was the best thing i ever did, and if i use my wireless i have an even CLEANER floor setup, just one single cat5 to the controller. sweet!
