90s were a crazy time for gear sales. the early days of ebay,97-2003, however, were GLORIOUS for gear sales. that soloist would be like 2-3k right now, right? its best not to think about that stuff.

Man!!! In the 90s as a very young man, I was like a kid at a candy shop at black market music in LA and SF. No les Paul cost more than a grand, many were a lot less.

I had a 91 standard that was amazing that I got for $650.

I got a 73 Strat for $400!!(repainted)

JCM800 2210 half stack for 750

84 les paul standard that killed for $800

And many more, the 90s were great for fear sales

I remember the tales in the 1970's where you could snag a Norlin Gibson Les Paul Custom for $400 bucks.
But for the last 25 years only things you see in pawn shops are overpriced Epiphones & Squires.
Occasionally you see not very popular models of Fenders or Gibson's for ridiculous prices.
Nothing that anybody really wants.
