Bogner Twin Jet:

EQ ---> Freaking Weird

Tone ---> Freaking Thick

First Impression ---> Freaking Awesome

Short Review ---> Takes off where the XTC 20th Leaves off, it is exactly what I had hoped for, the Bogner Mids and voicing with some serious aggression. I love Channel 1, not sure what older ubers are like but I would not trade this channel for any clean channel. Channel 2 is much more open and less compressed than I could have imagined with this much gain. If only Reinhold was not on crack when they designed the EQ, however it is seriously tweakable but does some freaking weird things!

:rock: :rock: :rock: :rock:

Yes.........another neighborhood filled with noise and mayhem tonight. Glad you like. Yes, the EQ is almost backwards on the front end from your expected response. The louder you can get it, the more responsive and surreal it will be.

cheers:

I WANT ONE!!! I hate you. :D

I am taking the Steve_K course on distributing GAS to an equal platform. I am on Chapter 4 of the book and I feel it is starting to work. :lol: :LOL:

If you like Bogner voicing and love aggression this amp is impossible to beat IMHO!!

I am pretty sure on a personal level I like this amp better than the Herbert only because of the mid structure. I am going to post a comparison thread after I get more time with the Bogner. It is a lot more open sounding than the Herbert and not as HI FI sounding this is a definite.

What cab/speakers are you using?

Congrats, Tim! This has helped some of my friends dial the TJ in...use the depth control sparingly...you can get a sweeter midrange this way...plus, the amp has plenty of low end as it is, especially turned up. Start with the treble control in the center and add treble/mids (the treble control also seems to affect midrange) by turning the knob in either direction. Oh and of course the presence can voice the amp the most...but, you probably knew that already.

Start with the mid control in the center and add mids by turning the knob in either direction on Ch. 2. Channel one's mid control is straightforward. Thanks for the advice, I am noticing the presence control has a great effect but did not know, thanks for the direction. This amp has some really sweet mids and the open aggression is great, not as tight as the Herbert but I think I like that better, it has something very nice in its overall 3Dish tone without being HI Fi

Click click Boom........

If you can get your hands on a couple K100's, drop them into one of the cabs with the V30's. It really opens up then.
