Is this one of the new ones from Brad & Co?

"I bought an older early Cameron CCV. Should be here next week.
I also await my new CCV from mark (bought thru Jerry last year)..."

;)

Your a dog, just kidding, not really. Congrats  must have a report when it arrives.

You missed it that bad? I have a new one coming so that gives me good GAS because you've had the best of amps for reference.

Yes I did miss it.
But I ran across a deal on an early CCV I couldnt pass up. I'm glad I grabbed it because its absolutely killer. Better for me, it has a tad less gain if needed.

I'm glad Brad got involved because its a shame not to get these amps to the public. They are just killer!

Sounds great! What did you have the gain set at on that clip?

3 oclock on channel 1 w highest gain setting.
12and 1 oclock on both gains on channel 2 Gain on Med level.
I've redialed it in already. Its one of those amps.  More gain on Ch 2 now and less Treb on 1.

Sounds good, can't wait to get mine. The clips make the amp seem like it has such great articulation while still retaining good saturation. In my experience, VERY few amps have that.

Can it get more saturated than your Herbert? If you were to judge the 2 amps strickly on their most distorted sounds only, which do you prefer? I currently have a Herbert, but I'm pretty interested in the new CCV's can't afford both.

I like both amps,  .

Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't these have custom designed transformers? Are the MM transformers custom-designed specifically for the CCV?

they are to Marks Specs.... Pretty much a 67 plexi style PT with dual taps for hi / low power much like a lay down tranny but i think mark changed it because of not having room for a laydown style.... and a 79 jmp style (marks fav) OT tweaked to marks specs .. So they def are to Marks Configuration. I believe the primary impedance is diff to on the OT ...
