I actually had three of these in the past. A '79, and two '84s. I let them all go years ago and I regret it. They were freakin' immaculate too. The '79 was still silver and the '84s were yellow/green juuuuust slightly. Enough to have a nice patina, but still not gross looking. And they had no damage. All super clean. I started looking for another one recently and discovered prices are now utterly insane. This is one of the cleaner ones I've found that wasn't priced at like $12,000 - $16,000 (omg that blows my mind). It's more green/yellow than my previous ones, but it still looks pretty good. Should be here in a few days.

Freaking sweet, you can get your Adam Jones on to some tool.

Congrats! I just bought an ‘80 LPC not long ago myself and love it. It’s a player tho.

I just noticed the tailpiece studs have way more corrosion than the rest, am I seeing that right?

Yeah, some rust here or there. I will be replacing the hardware with some locking pieces from either Faber or Tone Pros, so no biggie.

Do you know the weight? Mine is a boat anchor but it balances really well even sitting so it’s not that bad.

That thing is mint, I’m not even a big silver burst guy but the back of that neck is insane. Even the binding is pristine where it meets the body. Nice score

That's awesome I love it! The first thing that came to my mind is oh my God that had to have cost a lot of money and then I also thought I bet you it weighs 11 lbs. I actually like heavy guitars so the weight has never bothered me. Congratulations that's a huge score, enjoy!

Congrats! The old silverburst’s looks awesome! I actually have a chance to pick up this and are debating it.

Can’t figure out if I’m buying this or a dual rec rev D. Lol 😁😅

How would you value one like it?

Congrats on the LPC Mike they’re simply amazing. Yeah be sure to hang onto your LPC this time. My wine red was appraised at $8k recently (required for insurance) and that blew my mind. I do have a fair bit into it with the original case and pickups but it’s nuts to think it’s worth as much as a new Murphy lab custom (and in better shape at 45 years old LOL)

Congrats! Looks killer.

Always wondered why you sold the one you had?
Then again, I can ask myself the same question on a few pieces of gear….😖
