I would love to come out and jam again! I had a blast last year! Hell, the stories Ralph, Keith and Kage were sharing last year were worth the price of admission alone!

Hi John,

Mark Cameron and I will be there with one each of the new heads (CCV-100 & CCM-100)

If the attendance count is as high as I think it might be, you might need a bigger pot of pasta....

Chris

Oh shit! Im definately leaving the credit cards at home this trip :scared: ;)

You know the NY crew is in but I think we might have to rent out a studio! Not only because I think that there will be a lot more people but also because I had one hell of a time hearing! Almost everyone I talked to said that they could not hear what they were playing!! The first NAMM jam was different because you had some furniture in the room that was sucking up some of the sound. Just a thought brother!! Either way Im in!!

Actually, we moved furniture out both years its the new tile floor that killed the tone my friend  I will have to look into a studio rental in the area. I may need some help offsetting the cost of the food and space this year. My ex is behind in child support to the tune of 6 figures :gethim: I will let you guys know soon. thanks John

I think the real problem is that we were LOUD. MD is very atypical for a rock drummer in that he keeps his playing volume low when necessary, plus he just doesn't play hard. Once Keith, Danny and um I think his name was Darren got on drums, the volume of the drums increased with each with Darren capping the night off with some of the most instrument abusive playing I've seen (i.e. Caveman LOUD).

Put it this way, I had the pad on some preamps all the way down and the channels were still clipping on rare occasions. At first, however, this was not the case. I had to roll everything back as the night went on.

It was just too loud for the house although as you mentioned, that bare floor doesn't help.

John!

There would be absolutely no need for you to reach for your wallet at all if we do the Studio thing! I'm sure that no one would mind pony-ing up some cash to pay for the studio time. I was just amazed that I could not hear a thing last year and the tape showed it.
I would actually prefer the jam to be at the house of NAS because I always enjoy hanging with you and you house is the bizzomb, but I didn't enjoy playing last year because it sounded like a trainwreck IMHO :hys:

I hear what bob is saying but I couldn't hear a thing even with MD playing. the floors definitely changed the dynamic of the room because whatever you did tthe first year, I heard everything!!

I thought it was loud the first year but you're right, even with MD playing this year, it was way too loud, in fact as you guys were walking in I did a quickie with the guys and couldn't hear myself...

Is was stupid loud. That being said I can't wait for it to happen again!! It was a freakin' blast!!

I agree 100%. The sound was just bouncing around. I know that Mark Cameron and kage said the same thing. Mark was actually looking at peoples fingers just to see what key they were in lol :D
If we do go to Johns house, Id be more willing just to hang and maybe demo amps one at a time rather then play because its not really fun jamming when you can't hear what's going on. That said, maybe a few rugs would help with soaking up the sound? Bah.. who knows, I just can;t wait to hang with you guys. Definetely one of the highlights of my year!!

Im just looking forward to hanging with all of you guys!!!! I couldnt hear a blessed thing last year , the previous year was MUCH better IMO. After I got done jamming a tune with Mark C, I hit a chord and I dont think that it was possible to be any more out of tune!!!( the nut wasnt locked!!) I stopped trying to hear and just tried to play within the key that I Thought we were in by sight... It was a disaster LOL!!!

I absolutely love jamming with you guys but If all we ended up doing was drinking, eating and hangin, I wouldnt complain..

I would agree about just hanging. The jams are cool but it was quite burdensome for me (and nobody outside the players ever got to hear clips anyway) and just way too loud. Hanging without a jam is good for me.

That sounds good, but I would also love to be able to play Cameron's stuff and John's VM without the hassles you get being at the show. Maybe like Ralph suggested we coud have the ability to demo some stuff. Oh man, i can't wait for NAMM!!!!! *burp*

Totally agree but I think it would be cool to demo amps instead of an all out Jam!!

yeah, nothing funner than demo'ing a bunch of amps - I'll take that over the nudie bar anyday

yeah, I forgot to mention that, you went above and beyond with the effort you put in to record everything. I certainley couldnt blame you for wanting to pass on that....

Depending on what day etc., I'm in for meeting up with you guys for sure

Guys I am WAY into the amp demo idea. I would have suggested it myself but it seemed some of the guys loved the jam idea.I know its a lot of hard work for Bob and Mike to haul all of that gear over and break down so lets make it easy on all of us and just do the amp demo, I am dying to try Marks new amps  and once it/they get into my house I may NEVER let it leave :D We can use the studio for the demo room since there is carpet in there and the acoustics are great.See ya soon.....................John
