To be fair they won them in the contests I was holding on the main forum that they both frequently contribute to. There was also some level of work involved in one form or another so not entirely "free." IIRC, PLX had to conquer a deadly gauntlet and MAAH had to bake a souffle without collapsing the top.
I feel that maybe I will be having more around Halloween and Christmas. I'm thinking a wet t-shirt contest, maybe?
I had also been giving runner up prizes like Reverb gift cards in case anyone here is looking to jump on one of those no name import beginner guitar/amp combos from sellers with 3 star or less feedback.

we had a record done. more a EP
but then, our bass player/ other vocal guy..
got arrested for being a pedder...
so we trashed it all, and are re recording his bass and vocals.
it hit hard.
really shitty.
so we are hoping to put it back out in a few months..
To be honest, not unlike Social distortion., kind of that style. but i put banjo on some of the tunes
