….where you end up with a drawer full of them
Opinions on Crossbreed? Looking at the Supertuck IWB and the modular belly band.

I have a few Mini Tucks. They're great for IWB at 3:00-5:00….where you end up with a drawer full of them

I would never do that. For one thing pretty much any gun you can think of there will be multiple holsters available for.Who was it that just posted the suggestion to buy a comfortable holster first and then find the right gun to fit it? I never would have thought of that but it makes a lot of sense.
Yeah, maybe appendix. It’s a PDP compact (15+1) and I’d be concerned about printing at 3 or 5I have a few Mini Tucks. They're great for IWB at 3:00-5:00
If you're looking for AIWB, Muddy River Tactical is great. I have several of them.
I'd pass on the belly band, but that's a personal preference thing probably.
What gun ?
That's the only advantage of a belly band. I guess if you plan on carrying in athletic pants a lot it's an option. I wouldn't spend too much on one though because none of them are that impressive. None afford very fast access. Not safely anyway. I think I paid about $20 for the one I have several years ago. I haven't used it in years.Yeah, maybe appendix. I thought Belly band because you wouldn’t have to make sure you have a decent gun belt all the time and for when wearing athletic shorts etc.
Thanks for that…yeah the sidecar just starting to look like an awful lot to put down the front of your pants and also be comfortable sitting, squatting etc. When you’re driving, do you just hike yours up a little or is it fine staying put (if you’re doing appendix, I mean). That's the only advantage of a belly band. Carrying appendix you want kydex. The CB Tucks aren't real good for that. I have MRT kydex for VP9SK, Masada S, Shield .45. I like them a lot. There are a lot of AIWB holsters, but these work well for me. Minimalist, which means comfort. All those holsters with sidecars are not very comfortable to me.
Get one of these and get the claw.

While you're at it get a couple of these. I have about 5. They are comfortable and don't print. Can be carried IWB or OWB ( I carry them OWB)

You'll want to wear it off to the strong side just a little, not directly above your junk. It's comfortable sitting and you can move it around a little if need be. Couple things. If you've never carried appendix it will take a few days to get used to it. Then you'll never go back to any other way. Be sure to practice your draw ( unloaded gun obviously) a lot before you start carrying it. Really the rules aren't any different but you really, really want to be sure you don't have any negligent discharge. Femoral artery and all that. Most of the time it doesn't actually happen on the draw. Most people can grasp the concept of clearing the garment and keeping the finger straight on the frame. It happens almost always on reholstering. These holsters make it really easy to just pull the holster out, holster the weapon and stick it back in, but I usually don't. I usually arch my back slightly so the weapon is pointing more straight out and "Look" it into the holster. Your shirt or any other thing getting in the way can lead to the trigger being pulled. Your draw time will improve dramatically and you can carry with just a "Not tight" t-shirt and no printing. Thanks for that…yeah the sidecar just starting to look like an awful lot to put down the front of your pants and also be comfortable sitting, squatting etc. When you’re driving, do you just hike yours up a little or is it fine staying put (if you’re doing appendix, I mean).
I’m turning 56. My first Kore belt is probably 4 years old. Still fine. Just , eh, a little bit too small for me these days LolDude, I’m turning 54 this year. I’ve been on the stretch waistband, band wagon for quite a while! I’ve actually used ratchet belts for several years but their reliability has been pretty bad. Granted these were for regular wear, not gun belts. Every one I’ve had has failed within a year or two. But that ease of adjustment is very nice. Currently I’m just using a Dickies belt that is almost holed the entire length and they’re reasonably close together….and yes, once I get one, there will definitely be daily draw and reholster practice.
I actually a while ago bought some 18’s that fit it nicely.By the way, that PDP Compact will run the 17 rd. mags the Q5SF takes. FYI.

Lookit you guys in the free states - capacities above 10 rounds! Nice!By the way, that PDP Compact will run the 17 rd. mags the Q5SF takes. FYI.
You need to be able to access the gun fairly easily. So the second one.So I decided to give the Clip & Carry Belly band a go which comes with its own separate kydex holster. It just arrived and I was curious to how snug you guys set retention (I’m new to holsters). Do you make it tight enough that no matter how hard you shake it upside down the gun won’t come out. Is it a matter of as tight as will allow to still remove the gun easily?
Yeah, my main concern was being in a tussle or fall and the gun comes loose. I’ve got it where it stays in unless I shake it quite hard. I reckon I keep tightening until it hinders the draw and then back it off a touch. I’ve got to say it’s a lot more comfortable than just the kydex by itself on the belt. But shit, I now have to buy a bunch of shorts and jeans big enough to fit it all..lolYou need to be able to access the gun fairly easily. So the second one.
