Is paying to bump listing really worth it on Reverb?

I have never paid to bump my listings on Reverb and have sold almost everything I listed but I list on Ebay as well as Reverb.

My question is do you think paying for bumping is worth it or not? Personally when I look for something I just type in the model and make on Reverb and go through the listings, IMO it doesn't make sense to bump a listing unless you are competing against ten other sellers with the exact same item.

I paid multiple times for bump.
But the buyers didn't come to my listing by bump.
They always search keywords.

Its ok for the person who is "window shopping" on the first few pages for cheap gear. If you are talking about higher end stuff I would say probably not because as above, those are being searched for...

No. Most people search for a specific item. Unless someone is aimlessly browsing bumps don't help. Price it right and it will sell. Almost everything I sold on reverb sold within a few hours or days. Only thing that didn't was a high end guitar ($2500). That took a few months and bumps did seem not help with that.

Depends on who you are. For our retail op, we bump everything to increase turnover.

I shop on reverb everyday. I never even heard of a bump. lol. I use specific searches.

As a buyer, bumped items irritate the hell out of me, because they get in the way of what I'm searching for. So I don't want to do that to others with my own listings.

If your item has 100s of other identical listings YES.
For me, usually, I think No as there's only a dozen or so.

If there’s only a few of your item for sale, no. I recently sold two high dollar items that had many identical new and used equivalents for sale. I paid a few bucks for bumps on that one. But in general I do not bump.
