I've been simplifying my rig and was wondering how this would do on a pedalboard with just a small cab?

I have had both the Mercury and Iridium version. I think that they are both really good. Still have the Iridium but wish I would have kept the Mercury as well. The Mercury is a bit more vintage and the Iridium a bit more modern. Euge Valovirta (The Count) uses one as his main tone for his fly rig.

I’ve had my mercury for about a year now and like it a lot, used rehearsal and gigs and it’s versatile as hell. The loop is great the gate is really good, verb is up there as well. I’ve set mine up with an extra 2 button footswitch and preset mode which allows it to be a 4 channel amp with a boost feature.

When dialing in tones it takes to certain ones very well and others is a lil bit of work, but can be done.

I had original one and Mercury. Very stiff feeling and harsh sounding with none of the sponginess and bloom of mediocre tube amp. On the paper and from vids looks good but no miracles happened and overpriced for what it is. Friedman IR-X + Duncan 170 is much better if portability is important.

Any idea how loud the 170 is at 16 ohms? I have a 16 ohm cab and wondering how loud that would be for gigs.

Which foot switch did you use ?

They're definitely loud enough for gigs. Like a real tube amp, they sound better cranked up.
I ended up ordering a Quilter amp. I'm going to see how that does. I'm really hoping it works for me.
