Not too sure about it being the "perfect" guitar, but I'm really jonzing for an SG right now. It's pretty much between a '13 Standard and '13 '60s Tribute with the Burstbucker 1 & 2 pickups.I'm really liking the look of the natural burst version of both models.Btw,anyone yet play through any of the '13 SG Tribute models?

I owned about 4 of them thru the years at various times. Tried to like them. Just couldnt Gel. My Fave of the Bunch was the Angus Young Sig model. Guess I am just a super strat guy.

I will be the dissenting vote and say no. Les Paul's rule SGs in every way. Carry on.

I would agree with you if LP's were consistently good. But man you have to go through a bunch to get the godly one. That's why I've totally given up on buying new American made Gibson LPs. Used ones that I know the history of and the player that have played them or the Asian knock offs (I say that in a good way) such as Burny , Orville, Edwards, ect... are the only ones I would buy. It seems that SGs are pretty consistent at least in my experience. And they seem to have a sound that I can always work with. But this is just my opinion and I am drunk.

Buy Epi Elitist LP (if you can find one although Dot's are harder to find). Much better deal for the quality.

^ it would be perfect if they could have found a place for a 5th pickup. :)
