Is there ONE amp that you could get by with as your single amp?

The Thrasher is a unique amp, for sure. Too bad Randall lost their minds on the price. $2100 for a Chinese 50 watt? Please...🙄 They were just $999 what, 4 years ago? They're price gouging just to stay in business at this point, which I estimate will backfire, eventually. Dumpster fire.

Yeah, I have the 120w and I believe that I paid like $1600 or around that for it when it came out and is now $3k? Used are few and still overpriced. There was one with a broken headshell (they're ikea wood) that I bought and returned because it electricuted me when I would touch the shift switch ⚡o_O

Someone said on an earlier page they prefer multiple guitars but fewer amps
Someone else said they are the opposite (sorry forgot the names by now 10 pages in)

I used to collect guitars and only had a couple of amps but I've been moving towards the 2nd one. Selling off guitars and keeping multiple amps and cabs.

Anyway, this is a really tough call, I've got a lot of amps lol. I instinctively want to say ENGL Savage, Diezel Herbert, Fryette Sig:X, 2006 Splawn QR or 2005 Splawn PM, Marshall 2205/2210, Mesa Rev G or Mark IV.... those are all the top tier S+ tier amps in their respective categories, to my ear at least. Thing is, they all have some kind of sacrfice or sonic ground they don't cover.

But I think if I could only pick one... Kasha Rockmod. I don't always play super saturated metal and this amp seems to cover the low-mid crunch tones up to heavy the most satisfyingly to me, and the switchable power tubes is a really nice touch to cover more ground. It's not my #1 favorite amp of all time to play or anything, but if I can only have one amp and knowing that I would want an amp that does a bit of everything really well... I think that's the pick. If I only ever played metalcore or something I'd probably have a different pick but I like a lot of very different music. I'll go from Beach Boys to Van Halen to Periphery to Herb Alpert to some movie soundtrack, all on the same playlist.

Idk, ask me a week from now and see if I still feel the same way.

Gigged with the Synergy 20IR at the weekend and I was hugely impressed with it. That’s probably cheating so I’d go with the Bogner Goldfinger, I reckon that amp could do most things

Y'all are gonna crucify me for this but the Katana Artist Gen 3. Given my (lack of) skill level it suits my needs. When I get better, I'll buy better stuff
Nothing wrong with a Katana. Been rocking Kats for over 8 years and they still put a smile on my face when I play with them.
