Scott - do you recall the settings you used on those three modules? They all have killer sustain, but they're clear as a bell. Even on the chords with the MHG and EG3/4.
Where you running it at 50 watts with those EL34's?
I like the watch check too! Sometimes we have to squeeze as much playing in as we can. Hope you can give us some more!
It's been a while, but I wanna say,
MHG was Bass and mids @ around noon and treble at 2:00. Switches set in the middle and gain 12:00
EG3/4 was like I always run it, pretty much straight noon on everything except gain @1:00 and bright sw to 1.
DLX the same.
I was running the head @ 100 watts via 4 JJ E34Ls which have long since blowed up.....
Density at 9:00, Presence @11:00, Master vol was somewhere around 9:00 and module masters @ 11:00.
There is a certain fluidity to the Egnater heads. I have both the 50 and 100 and both have a feel unlike other amps I've owned. I've found that because of this, I don't need as much gain up front which helps with retaining clarity. Although, even on high gain stuff, it still does remain clear. That, IMO is the sign of a well designed, well built amp.
The beginning of the video is the MHG with guitar volume down low. It is capable of a nice clean tone which is not all that common with a hot preamp section.
