I now have an ISP that I've had a year or so. It seems to work better up front, than in the loop. However, it seems like my NS-2 worked better in the loop, and cut more noise. What's the consensus with others who have tried both? I'm thinking about another NS-2..
I do the exact same thing on my Engl Savage: NS2 in the back to kill the amp buzz, ISP in the front to kill guitar feedback (same combo also worked well on my 6505+). The variability of the NS2 works much better in the loop as far as containing amp noise, and the single knob of the ISP is perfect for the instrument so as to not completely kill your tone with more features than you actually need.
*NOTE* I don't use any effects/pedals in this setup; just the amp, the noise suppressors, and the instrument.
