Jackson trick finish

That's where my guitar is already lol. This finish is not available through Patman. He said it was a method not shared or that he knows personally. I'll talk to him about the freon?

I think it was freon but I'm not sure. It made the guitars he used that on look pretty cool. It was over 30 years ago that Paul showed me how they did it. There are probably better ways to do that now. Best of luck!
 
I'm no expert, but I think freon might be hard to get now and the powers that be probably wouldn't take kindly to just releasing it into the air if you can get it. I'd recommend having a look at electronics freeze spray, which shouldn't have those issues. The one I use (for electronics) is advertised as dropping the circuit to 50 below 0 celsius, not sure if that's cold enough.

The guys doing it now with rattle cans are using a heat gun to create rapid drying & temp changes.
