Wow guys, the 5751 really works well in the PI slot. It cleaned a lot of the modules up some, better not clarity, a bit tighter. Really liking this thing in the PI!

Cool stuff huh? I really used to love the 5751 in the PI slot of my DSL. Don't think I"ve tried one in the Eggie yet though. Glad you dig it.

What did you guys think of it in the Bassman? Less gain? Did it kill channel B? I like that for old AC/DC type tones. I also couldn't get my 5751s to fit in the modules...wouldn't go in.
Really adds a lot in the PI though.

Funny,i use one also for the PI.The 5751 is a bit smaller (><12AX7),so,you have to adapt the "branches"..but it works!

I read thet that Tung Sol 12AX7s are even better because they have the same feel and gain as the shuguang but with better clarity and harmonics. Oops...wrong thread!

I agree 100% with this,the chinese to me anyways sounds great in these module and the TSs sound much better in the EG5s and the 5751 in the COD,Bman,Vx these are the perfect balance to meaeroic":2cwihbti said:

I'm finding I do like the Tung Sol in V2 of most of the modules though. It also kills in V1 of my seminar head! But the chinese are tough to beat in the GnR man......

Minus the seminar head part (since I don't have one...
). I agree 100%. The TS 12ax7 is my V2 in each of my modules...and V1 in the EG5. Eric
