You know, I also use the stock Sovteks for V2 a lot and they do very well. I just find a little bit extra with the TS.

Minus the seminar head part (since I don't have one... ). I agree 100%. The TS 12ax7 is my V2 in each of my modules...and V1 in the EG5.

Ditto. I have had bad luck with the TS 12ax7s. Alot of bad ones. The Sovteks always seem durable and they sound good too. I've found that most of the tonal change occurs when the V1 tube is changed. V2 doesn't affect the overall that much to my ears. At least not enough.
The 5751 OTOH, is a must in the lower-mid gain modules. Couldn't agree more.
