My buddy bought a Jackson JSX 94 Concept off a guy in town for $200. It needed some work, so he brought it over. Fretboard looked like someone rubbed used gum on it. So gross. Took it apart and fixed a few things. Going to put a German Floyd on and he wants a JB in the bridge. As it sits, guitar plays like a million bucks. Neck is built for speed. Just feels so comfortable. Body is very thin and very light..a great deal lighter than my MIJ DK. Almost Ibanez Sabre weight. Trem is a licenced trem of the era (not great but guitar stays in tune unless you go crazy.) Pickups sound better than I figured they would although, not outstanding. I really feel like with the new trem and new pickups...this is gonna be a killer guitar. If you see one for a good price, I'd say check it out.

Love me some MIJ Jackson/Charvel. Jackson DKMG from ~2006. One of the few guitars I bought new in box. Charvel is from the late 80s, not certain on the model number though. Bought it from a Dean collector who wanted it gone because it didn't match the theme on his wall. Cool. Minor damage on the tip of the headstock but otherwise its tip top. Both are the dark forest green sparkle color. They Look black until theyre blasted with light.

The new releases for 2021 look nice, I just wish they'd have binding. The prices are ridiculous on jackson USA and Jason models. Damm shame

If you are willing to do the legwork, and strike at the right time...you might be surprised at the deals on used Japanese Jacksons shipped from used guitar stores in Japan...sometimes tax and nearly free shipping. They will haggle too and they almost always have one guy around that speaks english if you have questions.

I love the old Japanese charvel line and the early 90s jacksons! My favorite was was the Charvel custom 650xl!

I´ve had a bunch of the japanese ones from the 80s and 90s, my first really good guitar was a DX1 which basically was a precursor to the DK2 model made for the euro market. After that one I´ve had a DRX, a Soloist Pro from 1991, a Collen archtop Professional, a pearl white 750XL, a Model 6, a Model 4, a model 3 and a few more. But the only one I still have is a trans amber 750XL:

I know sigs are frowned upon but here's my made in Japan Demmel signature. Got for a steal years ago and still love it.
