This is a good beer to match. Grillin a couple pork steaks. View attachment 352520View attachment 352523
I'm a big fan of German beer - my wife is Bavarian from a little town an hour south of Munich. I've been to Okotoberfest. It was a blast.

Actually if you look at the photo you can see the cuckoo clock in the background reflected in the mirror as well lol

Same here. Always my preference.

One word:
Reinheitsgebot.

I do think it's great you tried it - I give you 10 kangaroos 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘for the taste test lol
Yup, 10 kangaroos 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘 from me too.

You put a fair bit on your bread. I’d usually have less coverage than that...
I thought so too. Less Vegemite and more butter is my prescription.

Brother Brian, glad to hear you're going to try it in soups. I recommend stews and casseroles too.

Another one worth trying IMHO is Our Mate. It's 86% yeast extract.

It tastes like it's got way-less salt in it and has a "purer" / more-focussed taste, which might actually make it better for soups, casseroles and stews:
