Just found one of these for $100. Not sure if it is even functional. Seems to have a quad of Winged C's in it. Anyone have any experience with one of these? I figured it was worth the gamble for $100?? I just won't go out to dinner this weekend! Lol. Might be fun to tinker with.

Did you leave a zero off or did you really get it for 100 bucks? Great score!!

It can be completely toast on the inside and still be worth it.

Even if you have to spend a lot to get it fixed its definitely worth $100. Thats almost a free JCM800!!! Congrats!

Looks like a later 80’s model. I love those. If you don’t want it after receiving it I will be happy to buy it

It’s likely stolen. Share it to all stolen gear forums you know.

Yeah, if it's NOT stolen that's a hell of a deal. Best ones are from 87-90...serial will start with a V, W or X..IMO. I had an 86 that ripped but kinda sterile, flat tone..
Those can be killer amps. Dime the channel volume, gain, and bring the master up SLOWLY. Goes from off to HOLY &%$# pretty fast. Diming the channel volume acts as a second gain...fine tunes it.
Congrats!

2210 is a beast with a proper boost and the right speakers. Had one for two years and loved it. That is one sweet deal you got.

Probably super simple like a fried fuse...maybe due to a bad tube? Check the fuses and put some known good 34s in there, maybe it fires up..

No boost needed from my experience...some of them are damn near perfect gain-wise.

Yeah I considered possibly a fuse. I vetted the legitamcy. The guy wasn't a musician. Didn't test it power it or anything. He happened across it cleaning out an old storage. Might work just fine after some tlc.

Has an x serial

Has an x serial
1989. I forgot about the Y for 1990. It should be a good to great one, if you can get her going....I had a 1987 2205 that was magical. I always favor the 2203/4s but the 2205/10s can be great too. Slightly thinner than the 2203/4 but not thin by any means. Really underrated amps.
