Jose Mod Preamp Pedal

If you don't want tubes hanging off a pedal on the floor, the JHS @T pedal does a similar thing with solid state components.
there's a million OD's and distortions that does something similar .... I had RaceU4her's Jose Teddy on my bench for a few days .... and into a few amps .... nothing silicon is going to come close to the actual first 2-3 gain stages of a Jose modded Marshall .
The Jose Teddy is all point to point handwired ..... and has some serious voltage going through it .

The exposed tubes are a problem IMO ... you can't just throw that thing down on your pedal board .

and if something jars loose inside and you don't know ..... and the B+ is touching the enclosure somewhere .... that's going to be one hot potato when you click your power strip on ...

but if you have a small studio .... and don't have a hot rodded Marshall ..... you plug that sucker into your Fender combo and BOOM ... you got one now .

IMO .... the time that goes into building one is why he's not doing more of them ... it probably wasn't making sense ...

and now you have basically a modernized version in the new Friedman preamp pedal .

There needs to be an eggplant react, cus dang! This genius. Thank you for sharing! Also, if you'd want to sell, please let me know. Also you can checkout my OF/piggyfeet for a great discount if you sell me the pedal,... just tryin' to sweeten the deal.

If there was a PCB or eyelet board made for this it would be a cool project. Either a floor version or a rack version.

I make lots of preamps like this. Much quicker than building a full amp

There's an eyelet board on reverb that makes them very quick to put together, about an hour once the case has been drilled.
