Seriously, why would Reinhold make an amp with the xtc drive, uber lead and shiva clean? You asked this very question before and the answer is simple...you would need an amp twice the size of the Uber to accomplish that...

Well many diezels are covering that ground without being twice the size of the uber..

Well, that was Reinhold's response on the website. To me, Diezel's are more similar across the channels than different and you hear a lot about CH. 3 of the VH4 for example and little else about the other channels being standouts.

Never saw he responded to such subject?

I understand what you're saying bottom line, anyway I'll see what the bogner guys can do.

Uberschall/TwinJet is a hella lot cheaper than any Diezel. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay different engineering/circuitry.

Granted, yes, there are amps out there offering high-gain ooomph and "pristine" cleans (Hagen/VH4/Shiva). They're out there - easy. But the Uberschall was and is a two channel mayhem monster. The 2 and the Blue, better cleaned up with the guitar and Ch.1 settings; the TwinJet, not so much - hence the name "TWIN" jet.

It's all good man, glad to know you love that sound soooooooooooo much. But seriously, I think "pristine" sparkly chimey shimmering cleans aren't easily had on any given 3 or 4 channel changer. Let alone a 2 channel metal amp.

It just wasn't what Reinhold probably had in mind for the Uberschall. There were other amps in his lineup that can deliver the cleans some players need, and he decided to make the Uberschall as heavy as he could given that it is the only true metal amp in his catalog. The Shiva and Ecstasy can get heavy, but not as heavy as the Uberschall. That's what the amp delivers in spades, although it can cross into other territories as well- IF you spend the time to really tweak it.

I had a Cameron modded Uberschall Rev 2 for a while that had the clean channel modded to Shiva specs, and the clean channel sounded AMAZING! It didn't compromise the gain channel either. There are a few floating around with this mod, and some even say it is better than the actual Shiva clean because of the Uber's monster power section. I can't comment on that because I have minimal Shiva experience, but that modded Uber easily had one of the best cleans I've ever heard on a channel switcher. So that said, there really is no excuse for the subpar clean channel on the Ubers. I miss that amp
