Well that makes two of us since all Ive seen you post about Rig Talk on HC or the Splawn form is how this just place is just "Bro Fest" and you dont like it so Im confused as to why you are here.

I got an Egnater Mod 50. So when I compared the two the Egnater sounded more open, had a better feel, and was much more versatile than the QR with midi and the modules. So I sold the Splawn. Hope that clears up the confusion Bro.

In referance to the Bro fest stuff on the splawn site, you weren't taking a dig at me, Kage, Scotty,Danny.Paige,Dave and all the other guys were you?

Man I was totally blind sided by this amp. I'll be honest Im surprised it sounded as good as it did. I hadnt jived with Scotts QR's or Pro Mod's but I wanted to give one of his Marshall mods a try.

I have owned a Splawn modded 1987XL and 2 different 1959SLP's. I thought the 1987X sounded way better than the 1959's for some reason. The 1959's sounded great at low volume but cranked up they were terrible. Totally lost in a band situation. Also, the solo boost (not the gain boost) added a ton of low mids to the tone which did not feel comfortable to solo on at all. I talked to Scott about it and he told me that it shouldn't be happening so I sent it back to him. It came back and sounded the same so I sold both of them. Also, one of my 1959's blew 2 power tubes within a few hours use. A friend of mine who had one had the same thing happen to his amp. I don't think Scott had the power section (KT88) thing down back then. It seems with his own line of amps that these concerns are nonexistent which is a good thing.

Hey thanks for the info. I think this 1987KL sounds really good. Whether I'll keep it or not who knows but I tihnk it sounds good.

Not at all that's why I was asking! In all honesty, we kind of started the Bro thing by using it in every other sentance lol I don't mind when people rib us for it when the intentions are good But some people have tried to use it against us in a backstabbing kind of way (not that you did!!)

Dave just picked a bad day. Scotty and I had a guitar lesson and we had to squeeze it in that day because our teacher was pretty much going to be out of comission for the summer because he teaches at the guitar workshop.
I think something came up for danny and I know of a few people who couldn't make it. Maybe we can get something together before the end of teh summer!
