My guy will text randomly just to check in. He’s cool so no bother. When I need something, he’s always quick to respond and get answers. All in all a good relationship.

How can those guys work on commission only? That's simply not an outbound sales job. I'm 100% commission, but no one hands me anything and I have to go out and find it. So the commissions are pretty big. But just banging the phone to call existing customers is not a 100% commission kind of job. And how much margin does SW have to pay those commissions? Their prices are pretty decent with no discount. And my sales engineer has just about never been able to get me a discount when I've asked.

Sweetwater has really tightened up on doing discounts. I rarely do business with them. They play the customer service card and portray themselves as experts but I have yet to talk to anybody there who knows their ass from a hole in the ground. My first rep was decent but he was promoted. He was cool about discounts and tried to do what he could and was very transparent on costs and margins and so forth which I am well aware of so he was a straight shooter. Everybody else all these years since him has been mediocre at best and a couple have been downright dickheads when you talk discount. I get better deals at GC and MF all day everyday.
