I just got mine on Friday last week... UPS guy delivered it with a smile, hell, that's all he does is bring "BIG" heavy items to my loading zone - always music related. The outside of the box stated Diezel, 4X12FL, G12K100...MADE IN GERMANY.

Needless to say, I've been hammering on this beauty now for a week with my VH4S. It's ridiculously crisp and potent. Awesome cab. Not sure what or how they can make a box with 4 holes in it better than any other box with 4 holes in it, but they did. And this is not just post-purchase elation talking hear - I have a critical ear...and this cabinet just sounds "better".

Well done Diezel Crew. Beauty cabinet.

It'll take some serious volume and some hours to warm it up a bit - still sounds pretty crispy, but the breaking in should be sooner than later. I found it sure as hell changes shape in the higher up volume registers - blows my mind. I get some great studio quality tone at studio SPL...but turn it up and man, everything shakes but the cabinet.

So, entertain 'us' if you can. I'm a 'fairly' smart guy and it makes me wonder, how is it, that a redesigned "box" with 4 holes in it can sound so greatly different than a previous iteration of the same? I mean, the only way this is feasible to me is if you've got physicists and engineers working at the quantum level of these things - and that isn't the case, I presume, otherwise these would be slightly higher priced. C'mon - how do you "redesign a cabinet in such a way that it kicks even more ass"???

All we will say is a lot of research, proper design and craftsmanship and a lot of wood working time and experience came together beautifully.

So no atomic physicists or molecular engineering I know, it is hard to believe..lol, but no. Just good ears, time, wood working skills and experience mixed with passion and the fact nobody was making what we wanted to hear as players.

I don't get it Nobody else does either...they think it is all hype. You on the other hand have experienced the truth.

OK!!! I got the cab here on Thursday, a bit delayed due to shipping company "forgetting" to ship it from Oslo terminal after clearing customs, but conveniently enough we had band practice that day so I brought my Herbie and the new cabinet. It is DEFINITELY a very awesome cab, and a way better match to the Herb than the ENGL 4x12" w/V30's that I've used with it so far.

Quick thoughts on the sound...it has a much tighter sound (does wonders for palm muted riffing), smoother treble, very pleasing to the ear. Also seems to have less breakup on high volume. And it's very good for clean sounds!
Another bonus is that it is much lighter than the ENGL cab which feels like 10 kgs more than the Diezel cab!
I'm already thinking about getting another one when I've sold the ENGL cab
