I need a fs for my Kempet and I'm torn between the FCB w/chip and the profiler remote. I love the fact that the remote will fit in my Kemper bag , but it is a LOT more dough than the Behr. Any users comment on what they use and why? Cheers!

I have the remote. Came with the unit I bought. I have no experience with anything else. But it's simple as shit to use and I don't program midi. Never touched it. It's green, it works and is designed for the unit. If I did not have it, I would save and buy it.

I'm definitely leaning towards the Remote. I'm surprised that no online retailers sell it separately , but rather just in package deals.

The FCB1010 with the Uno4Kemper chip is a dream to use. No midi programming required. I prefer it to the Kemper FS because it has the two expression pedals built it. Tuner on the FCB also.

The price difference was an added bonus, but I would have chosen the FCB even if they were closer in price.

With the FCB , you don't have the morphing function , the looper or the ability to simply use a single Ethernet cable though , is this correct ?

I do not believe the looper function will work with the Behringer unit. Single ethernet cable for use. I like it because the possibilities are endless with the thing. Tuner, looper, effects on off (4 banks). Up and down through presets and performances.

Why fuck around. You bought the kemper. Get the controller that was designed for it.

Here's a thread on it. I don't believe, from what I can see, that the looper function will work with other footboards.

Yes, it is worth it in my opinion. Consistently updated to work properly with the Kemper. I tried the Ground Control Pro 2x with the Kemper and it never worked quite right. Probably user error but the Remote is fantastic. I agree whole heartedly with @billsbigego

I couldn't tell you about the looper or morphing - don't use those. I use a single Hose cable to connect - the one with two end pieces on each end, so it functions just about the same as using any other single cable.

I used mine mostly for gigging, so having a separate volume pedal and wah pedal on the footboard was a big deal for me. The switching options are very easy and gig friendly. I never saw the need to buy the Kemper remote. Money wasn't a concern.

I really don't understand the comment about "get the one that was built for it." Using that logic, Strat players should only use Fender amps. Get the one that works best for your particular situation.

Do you have a link to the Hosa cable you use? When I used the FCB, I was using two MIDI cables.

If anybody knows how to contact Norton666, can you show him this and/or have him contact me?

How well does the Kemper remote work to control other
Midi things?
