Killer tone I had to share

That anticlimactic silence after all of that smoke, confetti, and Paul Gilbert-style soloing at the end.

That’s the kind of shit that would keep me awake at night as a musician if it happened to me.

I mean fuck Motley Crue got more of an applause with Vince Neil on stage.

I think they just faded the audio. You can kinda hear the crowd at the end.

That is way too drenched in reverb/delay to really evaluate the tone IMO.
Hey stop copying me there

And we all know reverb/delay automatically makes any tone or playing instantly amazing. Just ask the guys that make most amp "demos" on YouTube

Believe it or not, there was a clique of Rigtalkers here over ten years ago, now mostly gone, who couldn't evaluate amps, clip wise or in person, without the amps being completely flooded with reverb/delay. Their saying was, "needs more sauce (delay, processing, etc)", and "I need to know how the amp reacts to delay, which gives me the hang time (sustain) needed to execute certain passages". Personally, I used to be a 100% dry only player but have since warmed up to having some delay always there. But I set things up whereby I can barely even tell the delay is on, unless I turn it off to compare.

Ah before my time haha. Yeah I have a vintage ep1 and ep3 echoplex and a ‘70’s Furman PQ3 spring reverb. They sound amazing, but I would never involve them in a demo or if I’m testing a new piece of gear to try to decide what I think of it. Like you, I’d use them more subtly and tastefully to enhance my sound a little bit (goes a long way imo) kinda in the same way a girl might use make up more subtly to look better. Most guys imo go way overboard. I mostly though just use them for cleans

I'm failing to see how reverb and delay are bothering you in the context of a full band mix. This is not a youtube demo. It is a live video with audio taken from the IEM mix. I thought it was cool, so I shared. Sorry that it wasn't the dry "broots,"

Thanks for the share bro. I found the tone enjoyable but wasn't mind blowing, at least in my opinion.

If there are two things I can appreciate they are midget jokes and Vince Neil jokes. :D

"Meals, Meals, Meals"

Friday night and I need a bite
Three stuffed
turkeys and a carving knife
Handful of lard in my mouth taste right
Yes, what I need to make my pants too tight are more

Meals, Meals, Meals
Beer kegs and pickled lips
Meals, Meals, Meals
Chowing down on chicken strips
Meals, Meals, Meals
French dip, potato chips

It's such a treat, all you can eat

On Monday, Tuesday and any day of the week
Deep fried meals, just can't be beat
Yes, they're what I need so I can't see my feet

Meals, Meals, Meals
At the Barbecue House with a glass of ale
Meals, Meals, Meals

Scarfing
it down with many cocktails
Meals, Meals, Meals

Raising my cholesterol and breaking my scale

Not really hearing anything special either. Sounds like a pretty generic tone you could get easily with almost any amp and effects.

who is this mysterious crew that you speak of!!!?? They dared to mask their tone in reverb and delay!!! If this mysterious crew still inhabits the sacred site of rigtalk, we must immediately start a witch hunt and terminate their membership with extreme prejudice!!! this is an absolute outrage!!

You must publicly name them immediately as this is an outrage that I simply can’t tolerate!!
