Anyone have recommendations for a good knife sharpener? I have some quality kitchen knives that are dull as shit. Past the point of using a hone to dress the edge. I’m good with using stones if needed, but an easy, convenient sharpener that will put a lasting edge without the hassle is desirable. Something that can do both angles would be great. Suggestions?

Or an Arkansas razor stone.

I’m not opposed to going the manual route, but a more convenient sharpener would be preferred. I’ve tried several of the “V” type sharpeners and they’re OK, but the edge never lasts. I have German knives and Asian knives and a sharpener that easily handles both would be great…

It’s not an unreasonable question. I’d like a convenient knife sharpener. I’m smart enough to go the manual graduated sharpening stone route if needed, but if there are other, easier approaches, I’d prefer that.

P.S. I’m neither hungry, or lonely…

Geez guys, give the guy a break.

He asked a simple question and said that the sharpener route "is desirable".

Sorry. Carry on. It matters not.
