So Ive found one for a good price but unfortunately I can't try it. I like almost all clips I've heard so far. Has anyone tried it? I'm into 80s 90s death thrash and it will compliment my mark iv and peavey triple xxx

Jeff Waters of Annihilator used one for a while.. I would say if that is the case, that is as glowing an endorsement as you will get. His tone was always tight aggressive in your face thrash. Some of the best tones for that sound in my opinion. The foundations of his tone were always Marshall with BOSS OD-1 so I think the Laboga is a tight mid focused amp.

I have a laboga. Jeff waters signature head. It is a great amp, great clean as well as high gain tones. The dual FX loops are great as well

The Acacia Strain Continent was tracked with one almost exclusively.

If your into heavier tones there isn’t much heavier than that album.

Owned one briefly and it was impeccably built but one dimensional gain tone which it did unbelievably well. Wish I had the extra $$$ to have been able to justify keeping it. Amazing amps.

Such a monster player. From my city and still lives here when not on tour! Wish he had been more recognized for his work but sadly, sort of ignored.

Thx for ur input! Any specific amps its voicing comes close to?

My understanding that Piotr from Vader uses one, and this album was the Mr. Hector. Vader consistently gets pretty badass tones.

Me Hector sounds like a Mr Hector.

Closest thing I can think of with amps I have experience with was a VHT Pitbull Ultra Lead with a Diezel gainstage. Very dry but extremely Percussive and musical. Comparisons don’t really make sense because it’s it’s own thing and tone is very subjective. It’s extremely unique and I highly suggest trying if possible.

“The Acacia Strain - The Behemoth”. off continent in my opinion fully captures the aggression and lead tone better than other songs on that album. I have yet to see a demo on YouTube or similar that sounds close.

I thought it was pretty OK. Not great, not bad but this is a highly subjective thing anyway. You've already heard it but if you're interested I did a couple demos of it which you can find at the link below.

Thanks man and I just noticed that I had demo 1 in both links. I just fixed the second demo link so now it's actually the 7 string demo. LOL... nothing worse than an unmanaged website.

Thx everyone, so basically I pulled the trigger as I found one for 600 euros. It's the mk3 version. I'm gonna be posting lots of clips so stay tuned!

I figured you just weren’t using the low B in the second clip. :D

Hahaha... It's been so long since I did that clip that I played the first one all the way through and when I started the second I was wondering if actually did something different with the same basic tune. Nope - wrong clip! Doh!
