Both. Tracked with EG5 once then reamp with any other modules in the M4 set up. MOD 50 on its own. Ran the Rebel 30 direct sounded great but needed some air. So just to have fun he tracked EG5 with it and holy cow! His studio is unreal! The stories debunk a lot of "what people think they know about bands and what they used for recording. Some of the recordings I have listened to are unreal and they never made it to press due to the record company thinking its not what they wanted.
Today..play thru the MP1 set up from Nuno, White Lion, Skid Row. Same patch on the MP1 for all the albums...but as Michael said, they sounded totally different! Then back to the board to record clean and mid gain stuff then the Renegade and Rebel 20 and 30 heads. Records, pictures tons of candy and to boot he drives a Smart car and riding in it with him was unnerving. He's german and thinks its his BMW!
I am still shaking from the playing in the speaker room with 8 4x12's running EG5 on 4 of them and Vx on the other 4! When I looked back at him thru the window he just was smiling!
