Well then that's different from what I understood, so I stand corrected and I retract all my statements criticizing Larry about these orders. It was my misunderstanding..... I thought Techdeth had placed his order in September 2024 and was getting an amp in 6 months versus others who had waited years. Having placed it in 2020 changes things....thank you for correcting me.:2thumbsup:

I apologize to Larry then. :yes: I have to be fair when levying specific critiques and criticism regarding these specific orders.

No risk no reward I suppose. Looks like you're going to get your amp which is great. Takes some balls to order one for sure. Even if I did have that kind of money to burn i wouldn't. I'm in the no deposits club as well but man, I bet it's gonna be a killer amp.

You should also apologize to tech imo… he’s a frustrated customer and it almost seems like you’re coming at him…. I only read this post that I have quoted and not the whole thread though….

Not at all.......please re-read my post. Techdeth is a good dude in my book..... I just want Tech to get his amp with no BS and when he posted his coming new amp day in that thread in September 2024 it appeared as if it was a recent order and not from 2020 and it wasn't clarified when the order was put in, either I missed that or it wasn't specifically said.

If there were others that had older orders I felt that wasn't fair and that is not Tech's fault either way. This was my misunderstanding of when Tech placed his order and that was my mistake I'll admit that, that why I apologized to Larry and I'll apologize to Tech as well.

Techdeth I apologize to you....it was not my intention of complicating your Larry order... I actually hope it's everything you want as you have endured a long wait and money out the door.

I already have my sleeping bag and pillow packed up for my midwest roadtrip to jam with Tech

I've known Larry since 2005 from the Metro forums and he was always helpful and thoughtful to me and many others over the years there. The bad business practices are something more recent and since I won't ever give a deposit to anyone those issues won't affect me.

Seeing so many people lose their money, time and trust in other bad deals here over the years warrants that view of caution.

ABSOFUCKINLUTELY. Sorry but no way I could drop that money and just sit back and wait for this old kraut to maybe build me an amp. I know he’s like the Gandalf of building amps but nope 👎 not me…can’t do it….
 
Well..here is mine. Larry said it needs test drive. Then swap 1~ 2 preamp tubes or minor tweaks if needed. It is almost right there.
