I’m with you - I don’t know what I’m looking at, but it looks awesome. I love the attention to detail on display - I know the sound is what matters, but aesthetically it’s just really pleasing to my eyes. Can’t wait to hear you put it through its paces.
That's exactly where I'm at! I see work like that and am so visually impressed. It's an art in and of itself.

One of the crazy things tho is that the innards are so beautifully and aesthetically pleasing....yet the Larry logo on the front of the amps grill is one of the worst logos I've ever seen.

Actually "Helmut" would be much better and that's saying something. Hellmut in a small font with a Bogner type leather headshell would fit the insides much better imo.

@Techdeth - I know most of us here cant' wait for you to get your amp and put all of this drama behind you.

I can barely solder and know nothing about designing an electrical circuit. However, those do look very very good.

Me Larry and Peter diezel are going to throw frisbee in the park when I go to Germany. Then me and Larry are going clubbing…. Hey shorty-it’s your birthday.z??

You can’t argue his attention to detail and electrical knowledge. Dude builds some of the finest work I’ve ever seen. Every solder joint looks perfect.
Looks like Larry is no longer using NOS LCR's, if you zoom in the 50/50uf caps are all ARS. At least these three guys may avert issues from using reformed 40 year old capacitors.

I can’t imagine firing up the soldering iron only to solder two solder joints and being like “Welp that’s all I’ve got in me today.” And turning everything off and walking away ??
You are not the Elvis of the amp world.............................................................:hys:

If me being an unwitting crash test dummy prevents similar issues happening to others, then it was all worth it

I’ve always wondered, once someone gets their amp and waits their wait, if we could back calculate the ‘operations per day’ to put things into perspective.

Eg, say it took 6 years, would that equate to one solder connection a week? One solder every other day? Etc . ?

Art pieces

Yes, That’s one beautiful looking piece of art, Techdeth.
I can see why everyone who has a Larry says it’s at the very top of their amp stash.

Looks like you’ll have it soon. After you plug in for the first hour, the time it took to get it will no longer matter.

Congrats, Dude!!

I hope its sooner than later at this point. Shame there's no more vintage LCRs being used in these. I wonder if there's any other NOS part substitutions going on.
Damn, bummer.

Man I can’t wait ! Thanks for the kind words

those look sick man, and looks like it should be soon. Between your playing and that amp, is that the infinity gauntlet?

Just asking. Wouldn’t the quality of the solder joints be only visible from the bottom of the board?
